Groups can be members only (people request to join), open (any site member can join and post) or private (by invitation only). Any member can create groups. You can browse existing groups, search for groups sharing your particular interests, or create one for any subject you care about. You can share images and have conversations with a bunch of friends, family or team members, or with the world at large.
