Blackpool's illuminations

I think she's beautiful.

Is it art? Well, if Native American village elders could sanction the erecting of a totem pole, the leaders of a druid community oversee Stonehenge and the Roman Emperors sanction thousands of civic monuments to gods and generals – and we call all that art . . . then why can't Blackpool's local council commission this piece of contemporary folk art too?

I'd rather see this than Dali's sculpture on the Southbank!
