'Atom' Pendle's Panopticon

Panopticons (2003-2007) was a unique creative project to erect a series of 21st-century landmarks across East Lancashire as symbols of the renaissance of the area. 'Atom', the Panopticon chosen for Pendle, was a winner in the international Panopticons competition organised in association with the Royal Institute of British Architects in summer 2003 to find original ideas for East Lancashire's new landmarks.
