This is a great , very accessible, double statue - it's at street level - the figures slightly bigger than life size. And like Roosevelt and Churchill in Old Bond Street are very approachable not high up on some anonymous plinth. I guess the plinth now only really works for the unusual see 4th Plith Project, we now prefer to have our great men and women accessible at ground level!
Oddly there was no sign as to say who these great Liverpool philanthropists were, I guess all in Liverpool know...no need for visitors in this year of European Capital of Culture to know...very odd.
