An image improvement project for the Leeds and Liverpool canal saw this new public artwork appearing alongside it at Lathom. An activity table made from discarded lock gates, capturing the spirit of this famous canal, while adding character to the local countryside.
Attached to the sculpture are two plaques one in memory of John Howard, founder member of Crooke Cruising Club "Sadly Missed" and the other with the initials BMBC and Date 1997. I'm assuming this may stand for Burscough Motor Boat Club.
