I posted this one before but blurry and dark. Here some better shots.
And for the bored ones the inscription:

The official opening of Berlin's Central Railway Station (Hauptbahnhof) took place on 26 May 2006. It was attended by Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel, the Vice-President of the European Commission, Günter Verheugen, the Federal Minister of Transport, Building and Urban Affairs, Wolfgang Tiefensee, the Governing Mayor of Berlin, Klaus Wowereit and the CEO and Chairman of Deutsche Bahn AG, Hartmut Mehdorn.

Lehrter Station, which was opened in 1871, stood directly adjacent to the new station. This terminus was the starting point for rail connections towards Hannover and later Hamburg.

Following the ravages of the Second World War and the division of Germany and Berlin, Lehrter Station was shut in 1951. Only the smaller interchange station Lehrter Stadtbahnhof remained in operation as a tram stop.

In June 1991 the German Parliament resolved to move the capital to Berlin. Following this decision a new transport concept was developed. The centrepiece of which was the new north-south connection and Europe's largest rail junction on this historic spot. The station was designed by the world-renowned architects Gerkan, Marg and Partners. The ground-breaking ceremony was held in 1005 in presence of Federal Chancellor Helmut Kohl.

Architectural fragments, relics of railway history and figurative sculpture on pedestals all form a part of the sculpture formed by Professor Jürgen Goertz, whose purpose is to remember Lehrter Station and Lehrter Stadtbahnhof. The piece, made of high-quality material with movable high-tech elements, embodies the mobility of people over the course of time and conveys the German capital's long tradition in transport. By integrating original parts salvaged from ruins, the sculpture also represents a bridge between the former Lehrter Station and the new Central Station.

It's really fascinating close up, what you can't see are the moving parts in the centre of the sculpture. you can sort of see them in the video I posted.
