This project aimed to educate and challenge young people’s views on knife crime. As well as educate them about graffiti crime as this is a constant problem in the borough of Kensington and Chelsea.
The project involved decorating knife bins in the area using spraypaint,Working from designs created by the young people from Chelsea and East Chelsea youth clubs.
After hours of design work and brain storming there were some really clever designs produced, using slogans such as “don’t take a life, bin that knife”
Overall there were five bins painted- Worlds End estate, Earls Court, East Chelsea youth club, Chelsea Police Station and Goldbourne.
Keep your eyes peeled if you are in the area they look great!
